I think you'd probably be okay as long as you went with all -cord. As you know, the slightest dip or pull on one line can have an enormous effect on the kite, so you don't want lines with different elasticities to them.

However, I'd suggest real kite lines. With all you have wrapped up in kite, accessories and board, why skimp on lines?
