Discover Cristiano Ronaldo’s collection of expensive watches
From his sumptuous collection of Hublots, Breguet and Rolex watches, here are seven watches from Cristiano Ronaldo’s personal collection.
When you have a net worth of $ 65 million (around RM227 million), you can certainly cherish the finer things in life. Whether it’s super sports cars, multi-million dollar mansions, yachts or watch novelties, Jeventus hunter Cristiano Ronaldo is no slouch when it comes to strutting past the world. Being the top of the FIFA food chain, we’ve seen CR7 navigate Bugattis and Lamborghinis, and we might well expect the same level of extravagance from its watch collection.
Through his Instagram, we had a glimpse of some novelties of the Cristiano Ronaldo watch collection, here are the timepieces that dazzled us.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s watch collection:
Hublot Masterpiece MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-axis
Let’s start this list with something special. Costing $ 1.2 million north (around RM 5 million), this Hublot stunner is encased in 18k rose gold while being fully set with baguette-cut diamonds and a rose-cut diamond for a crown. We have been following Hublot for some time now and we can say with confidence, this is perhaps their most complicated timepiece to date. Equipped with a self-winding Manufacture caliber, it offers a 5-day power reserve that can turn its bi-axial tourbillon.
Cartier Santos 100 XL Chronograph
We have always believed that Cartier has always been a brand with acquired taste. Their clean and elegant look is truly timeless in our books. Top it all off with a diamond case and you have a real show. Encased in a white gold base and dazzled with factory diamonds, the timepiece is limited to just 5 pieces and costs $ 90,250 (around RM380 million).
Franck Muller ‘Cintree’ Tourbillon
Apparently, this one was designed specifically and exclusively for Ronaldo. Alongside his beloved, he wears the only Cintree Tourbillon in the world to feature a curved case in 100% white gold buckle-dial set with baguette-cut diamonds. There is also a horological wonder, a tourbillon which serves as the heart of the timepiece. Ronaldo has not officially confirmed this, but there has been speculation that the watch was sold for around $ 1,500,000 (around RM6.32 million).
Girard Perregaux Tri-axial Planetarium
Enjoying a magnificent sunset, Cristiano Ronaldo wore a piece that defies gravity with its spectacular high-speed 3D rotation of its tourbillon. The Tri-Axial GP Planetarium also has a terrestrial globe that rotates in synchronization with the Earth. It certainly offers an intuitive view of weather around the world. The case design houses two sapphire domes and a side opening, presenting us this magnificent tourbillon.
Jacob & Co H24 Four Time Zones
When you’re a globetrotter like Ronaldo, a single time zone watch can’t be enough, right? Here he is strutting around a Jacob & Co H24 Four Time Zone. Usually watches sport dual time zone complications, but the guys at Jacob & Co always like to take it to the next level. The timepiece has 5 crowns for each city whose time it keeps. Otherwise, it is made in rose gold and tied with brown leather.
Breguet Classique ‘Grande Complication’ 5349PT
Sometimes you just don’t need a reason. Even though it is a pleasant and relaxed evening, that doesn’t stop Cristiano from wearing a horological novelty on his wrist as if he is preparing for his next Balon D’or. With two rotating tourbillons, this exquisite timepiece is powered by two independent tourbillons fixed by a bridge. The bezel, lugs and case middle are set with a total of 107 baguette-cut diamonds. Meanwhile, the gold chapter ring and center plate add an additional 310 brilliant-cut diamonds. This horological masterpiece is available at approx. $ 802,000 (approximately RM 3.38 million).
Franck Muller Diamond Tourbillon wins over Van Cleef & Arpels
When you meet someone as special as Sheikh Hamdan, you should also wear a special watch. CR7 wore what could be the most majestic piece in its watch collection – an iced-out FM Diamond Tourbillon. It would have cost more than 1.5 million dollars (approximately 6.2 million RM), this timepiece is made with a rare technique called “mysterious setting” in French, which translates to “Ensemble mystère” – A method of setting gemstones without a visible rim, also called an “invisible hoop”.
